London Calling
Hello, hope you're having a fantastic Friday!
Today I thought I'd switch things up a little bit, and rather than launching something new, I thought I'd have a little break and share one of my favourite destinations with you. So, as you've probably guessed by now, today I'm focusing on London, England!
Being a Brit, London obviously has a special place in my heart, it's a great city to visit, and if you haven't been before, then definitely make sure to add it to your bucket list when you're next making travel plans!
And if you have been lucky enough to visit London before, then a city map is the perfect way to treasure that special trip, university days, gap year, home town or where you once lived.
In the past London has featured quite heavily in my work. Some of my designs feature a papercut London map, foil print of London, and also mandala prints of lots of the Inner London Boroughs. Let's have a quick look at the different options shall we?!
Â
PAPERCUT LONDON STREET MAP
So my favourite piece of London artwork has to be the papercut city map, which is cut from a single sheet of paper, and then meticulously picked out piece by piece until it resembles the street map you see below! It's available framed or unframed, and measures 8 x 10".
If you'd like to learn more about how I make my papercut street maps, then check out my Paris papercut map video here, which shows you behind the scenes of my making process).
ROSE GOLD FOIL LONDON MAP
As well as the papercut street map of London, I also have a print version which features rose gold foil detailing. I love how these foil prints catch the light and change every time you walk past them! They can be quite tricky to photograph, and even trickier to get the foil just perfect, so for that reason I only make 10 of each design so that I can make sure only the best quality designs make it out of the Ta Muchly studio. The London foil street map measures 8 1/2 x 11" and is available either framed or unframed.
LONDON BOROUGH MANDALA ART PRINTS
Finally, I also have mandala art prints which feature 13 of the inner London Boroughs, including Kensington and Chelsea, Camden, and the borough of Islington too. These limited edition prints are printed in black and white, featuring an original Ta Muchly mandala design. They're hand signed and numbered to show which of the 50 limited edition designs is yours. And of course, you can get them framed or unframed too!
Which is your favourite London design from my work? Let me know in the comments below, I'd love to hear from you! And as always, if there's a city you'd like me to feature next, then do let me know!
Hope this has inspired your next London trip, and have a great weekend dreaming up your next travel adventure!
